Víctor Bermúdez es Profesor Ayudante Doctor en el Área de Teoría de la Literatura y Literatura Comparada de la Universidad de Salamanca. Ha realizado su investigación en Salamanca, San Sebastián, Montreal, Kiel, París, Oslo y Múnich. Víctor investiga la imaginación poética con una perspectiva interdisciplinar y comparada, interesándose por los procesos cognitivos del pensamiento poético, por las relaciones entre literatura y ciencia y por la teoría del lenguaje literario. Sus trabajos exploran tanto la dimensión epistemológica de la poesía como su valor cognitivo, promoviendo perspectivas comparadas entre distintas tradiciones literarias y acercamientos teóricos al lenguaje literario. Autor de Ciencia y modulación del pensamiento poético: percepción, emoción y metáfora en la escritura de Lorand Gaspar (Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca, 2017), ha editado Inscriptions littéraires de la science, con Amelia Gamoneda (Épistémocritique, 2017), #Nodes, con Gustavo Schwartz (Next Door Publishers, 2017; Intellect Books, 2019), Entornos de la traducción, con Javier Gómez-Montero (RETCaP, 2021), Imagination, Cognition, and the Arts, con Renata Gambino, Grazia Pulvirenti y Benito García-Valero (Frontiers in Neuroscience, 2024) y Eso en Álvarez Ortega (Devenir, 2025). Como traductor ha incursionado en la obra de Bernard Noël, Gilles Cyr, Jacques Dupin, Amina Saïd y Friederike Mayröcker. Ha sido poeta en residencia en la Stiftung Lyrik Kabinett München (2022) y es autor de los poemarios Del electrón el ámbar (Franz, 2020) e Iluviaciones (Franz, 2022). Actualmente ultima los libros Cognition in the Poem: Processes of Subjectivity in Comparative Poetics, Lorand Gaspar. Poesía completa y el poemario Geerdete Leichtigkeit. Es miembro del Comité ejecutivo de la International Network for the Study of the Lyric. Dirige el Congreso Internacional de Teoría de la Lírica y Poéticas Comparadas y el equipo COPOS – Cognition in Comparative Poetics, en la Universidad de Salamanca

Víctor Bermúdez is Assistant Professor in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Salamanca, where he develops research lines on lyric theory and comparative poetics. He has carried out his research in Salamanca, San Sebastian, Montreal, Kiel, Paris, Oslo, and Munich. Author of Ciencia y modulación del pensamiento poético: percepción, emoción y metáfora en la escritura de Lorand Gaspar (Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca, 2017) and has edited the collective volumes Inscriptions littéraires de la science (2017, with Amelia Gamoneda), #Nodes. Entangling Sciences and Humanities (2017; 2019, with Gustavo Schwartz), Entornos de la traducción (2021, with Javier Gómez-Montero), Imagination, Cognition, and the Arts (2024, with Grazia Pulvirenti et al.) and Eso en Álvarez Ortega (2025, forthcoming). He is the author of the collections of poems Del electrón el ámbar (2020) and Iluviaciones (2022), and is currently completing the monograph Cognition in the Poem: Processes of Subjectivity in Comparative Poetics (Bloomsbury, 2025), the translation Lorand Gaspar. Poesía completa and the collection of poems Geerdete Leichtigkeit. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Network for the Study of the Lyric. He conducts the International Conference on Lyric Theory and Comparative Poetics and the Cluster COPOS – Cognition in Comparative Poetics, at the University of Salamanca.
