María Conde Estévez es estudiante de tercer curso del Grado en Filología Inglesa en la Universidad de Salamanca. Gracias al programa Erasmus, cursó un año de estudios en la Universidad de Poitiers, donde fortaleció su competencia lingüística en francés y enriqueció su formación en estudios literarios desde una perspectiva más amplia e internacional. Asimismo, estudió japonés durante dos años en el Centro Cultural Hispano-Japonés de Salamanca, iniciando su formación en lengua y cultura japonesas. Cursó el Bachillerato de Humanidades, etapa en la que obtuvo el reconocimiento a la excelencia académica por figurar entre los mejores expedientes de acceso a la universidad de Galicia, distinción concedida por las tres universidades gallegas. Posteriormente, fue beneficiaria de una beca de la Consejería de Educación de la Xunta de Galicia para realizar una estancia en Toronto, destinada al perfeccionamiento de sus competencias en lengua inglesa. Esta experiencia consolidó su interés por la lengua y la literatura inglesas y motivó el inicio de sus estudios universitarios. Sus intereses literarios se orientan hacia la poesía narrativa, con especial atención a la sensorialidad y la representación de la experiencia desde una perspectiva fenomenológica. La poesía gallega es otro de sus grandes intereses, por su relación con el paisaje, la naturaleza y la delicadeza de su expresión lírica, vínculo que se prolonga en la mitología y la tradición fantástica de la región. Actualmente perfila su Trabajo de Fin de Grado y Forma parte del Comité de apoyo del III Congreso Internacional de Teoría de la Lírica y Poéticas Comparadas.

María Conde Estévez is a third-year student of the Degree in English Studies at the University of Salamanca. Within the Erasmus Program, she spent a year studying at the University of Poitiers, where she strengthened her French language skills and enriched her literary studies from a broader, more international perspective. She also studied Japanese for two years at the Hispanic-Japanese Cultural Center in Salamanca, beginning her studies in Japanese language and culture. María Conde completed her secondary education oriented toward Humanities, during which she received recognition for academic excellence, ranking among the top students in the Galician university entrance exams, a distinction awarded by the three Galician universities. She later received a scholarship from the Galician Regional Government’s Department of Education to study in Toronto, further developing her English language skills. This experience solidified her interest in English language and literature and motivated her to begin her university studies. Her literary interests lie in narrative poetry, with a particular focus on sensory experience and the representation of experience from a phenomenological perspective. Galician poetry is another of her great interests, due to its connection with the landscape, nature, and the delicacy of its lyrical expression, a link that extends to the region’s mythology and fantastical traditions. She is currently outlining her Bachelor’s thesis and is a member of the committee for the III International Conference on Lyric Theory and Comparative Poetics.
